Most people never see the fake courier SMS, the cloned checkout page, or the "verify your account" link until someone they know has already lost money to it. We kept seeing them. Real businesses were having their names, logos, and customers' trust used against them, and often they had no idea it was happening.

Getting those sites offline turned out to be less about luck and more about doing the legwork properly: working through the scam the way a victim would, tracing the operation behind it, and building a case that the right people would actually act on. So we started doing exactly that.

Scammers go after a brand's customers. Attackers go after its systems. The same curiosity that pulls apart a phishing kit is what finds a broken login flow or an API that hands out other users' data.

Automated scanners catch the obvious things. The costly problems usually sit in business logic and access control, where a person has to think like an attacker to find them. That's the kind of testing we wanted to offer.

Early on we made one decision that shapes everything else: we test, we don't fix. A firm that finds your bugs and then bills you to repair them has a reason to find more. Keeping those separate means our only job is to tell you the truth about where you stand.
